Diamond Cups

How Rayman Legends Diamond Cups work in single-player worlds and online Challenges, including the top-1% rule and their value for Awesomeness Level 11.

Quick answer: World Diamonds require every Teensie in that world, including Invasion Teensies. Online Challenge Diamonds go to roughly the top 1% of the final leaderboard when the event closes.

There are two different Diamond Cups

Rayman Legends uses the same Diamond Cup icon for two very different systems. One is a single-player completion reward for mastering a world. The other is a competitive online reward based on your final percentile in a challenge leaderboard.

Single-player world Diamond Cups

A world Diamond Cup is awarded for rescuing every Teensie associated with that world. It is not tied to your Lum total and does not require Gold cups on every individual level.

The common source of confusion is the Invasion system. As the campaign progresses, timed Invasion stages are added to earlier worlds. Those stages contain additional Teensies that count toward the world's completion total, so a Diamond Cup may not appear even if every currently visible normal stage has already been cleared.

Story Diamond rule: rescue every Teensie in the world, including the Teensies added through its Invasion stages.

Online Challenge Diamond Cups

Daily, Daily Extreme, Weekly and Weekly Extreme challenges use a relative ranking system. Diamond is reserved for roughly the top 1% of the final leaderboard when the challenge closes.

That means the difficulty of earning Diamond changes with participation. If 5,000 players enter, roughly 50 places can fall inside the top 1%. If only 100 players enter, Diamond is effectively restricted to first place.

Your cup is also not secured while the event is still live. If other players pass your score before the timer expires, a position that currently displays Diamond can fall into Gold by the final calculation.

Cheated or glitched scores occupying the top of an old leaderboard can make the already-small Diamond range even more unpleasant for legitimate players.

Why Diamond Cups matter for Awesomeness Level 11

Bronze Cup1 Awesomeness point
Silver Cup5 Awesomeness points
Gold Cup10 Awesomeness points
Diamond Cup50 Awesomeness points

A single Diamond is worth five Gold cups or fifty Bronze cups. For players grinding toward Awesomeness Level 11, consistently reaching the top challenge percentile can shorten the grind dramatically.

The short version

  • World Diamond: rescue every Teensie tied to the world, including Invasion Teensies.
  • Challenge Diamond: finish in roughly the top 1% when the leaderboard closes.
