PC, Wii U, PS3 and PS Vita

The online services used by these versions have been decommissioned. Daily and Weekly Challenge paintings are unavailable, global and friend leaderboards cannot be accessed, challenge cups can no longer be earned through the normal online system, and Invasion leaderboards are also unavailable.

This is not a local installation problem and there is no normal network-side fix for the player.

Xbox 360: the strange middle ground

The Xbox 360 version remains partially alive. Players can still enter online challenges, submit scores, view leaderboards and earn challenge cups.

The broken part is competitor ghosts. Your own ghost can still appear, but ghosts belonging to other leaderboard players do not load.

PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch

These versions currently retain working challenges and leaderboards. PS4, PS5 and Xbox One spent a long period with missing competitor ghosts, but Ubisoft restored that functionality in April 2026.

Nintendo Switch avoided that specific outage and has continued to provide challenges, leaderboards and competitor ghosts.

Why players are confused

The same game now has radically different online behaviour depending on platform. A player on Switch can see a working system while a PC or PS3 player sees apparently broken paintings and no leaderboard access at all.

Because legacy server changes are not always obvious from inside the game, it is easy to assume the installation, account or home internet is at fault when the actual cause is the platform's server status.
