Load Ghosts in the Rayman Legends PC Training Room

The simple file-naming method that makes personal-best or downloaded ghost runs actually appear during offline Challenge practice on PC.

Quick answer: Put the run you want to race against in the saved-ghost folder and rename it to exactly “load”. Retry the Training Room challenge and pair it with the matching seed so the ghost lines up with the level geometry.

Why ghosts do not automatically appear

The PC version can generate ghost data when a challenge or Dark Rayman Invasion run is completed, but the Training Room does not automatically load every saved run as a comparison ghost. That makes serious practice much less useful unless the correct file is prepared.

Find the saved ghost directory

Open the Rayman Legends save directory and locate the game's saved_ghosts folder. The exact parent path can vary by installation, but the relevant folder is the one containing the ghost files created by completed runs.

Rename the run you want to load

  1. Identify the ghost file for the run you want to use as your benchmark.
  2. Rename that file to exactly load.
  3. Remove numeric suffixes such as _1; a name such as load_1 will not be treated as the active Training Room ghost.
  4. Return to the game and retry the challenge.

On the next attempt, the Training Room reads the file named load and renders that run as the active ghost.

Use the matching challenge layout

The game will attempt to display the selected ghost even if the current Training Room geometry does not match the run. For useful practice, pair the ghost with the same challenge seed that produced it. The Challenge Seed Tool and RLCM make that possible.

Updating your personal-best ghost

The active ghost does not automatically replace itself when you set a faster time. To practice against a new personal best, remove or rename the old load file and rename the newer saved run to load.

Using downloaded competitor ghosts

Ghost data downloaded through community tools can be used by the same mechanism. Place the intended ghost in the correct saved-ghost location, ensure the file is named exactly as the Training Room expects and load the matching challenge seed.
